In my English 11 class this year, we read the book ‘The Great Gatsby’ and after reading it we had a mock trial over who killed Gatsby and Myrtle. Here’s my essay and input on who I personally think killed Gatsby:
Goals
My goal this year is to graduate a year before my class actually graduates. I want to achieve this goal by taking my senior classes that are needed. I also want to be able to get a job this year so I can start trying to get myself money for me to save up. These goals are both easy to obtain but also very hard to obtain.
I’m going to take classes that seniors are taking such as English 12, Government, and Econ. It’s going to be pretty difficult but I’m pretty sure I could strive to achieve it. I’m going to be squeezing a lot of things in my schedule if I end up taking these three classes.
Getting a job is going to be difficult too, especially since I’m only 17. It’s hard but I’ll look hard.
Christmas Break
Over Christmas Break I’m going to get a bunch of presents. I’m probably going to sleep a lot also. Maybe hopefully, I’ll get to spend time with family. I’ll also be going to a lock in at “The Rock” in Scottsburg. After that, I’m probably going to try to go to a friend’s house on New Year’s Eve. Hopefully I’ll actually get to be able to stay a week or 2 with a friend.
My friend, Molly Barnes, is going to go to her Aunt Julie’s house to celebrate Christmas with her fathers side. After that, she will most likely go to the rink and see Savana and spend time with her and her best friends. For New Years, she’ll most likely be going to Zack Tolbert’s house with Allie, Savana, Katie, and Larry.
I personally think that Molly’s is better because her’s is more descriptive than mine. There’s more than just eating and sleeping to it than mine.
Paris Blog
I think this whole Paris Attack is completely devastating knowing that people from my home state are there in Paris. It’s really pathetic because ISIS is mad that the people who were under attack this past weekend aren’t them. Not everyone wants to be part of ISIS. I think it was a waste of time for them to do that. It was completely useless. I think this wasn’t something that should’ve been done especially since France did not make a move on them or didn’t do anything to trigger the attack.
Rainy Days
On rainy days I play on my phone get on all my social media. I also sleep all day. I hardly do anything when I don’t feel like it. Whenever I’m in the mood to do something I usually go outside with old clothes on and play in the mud or use my grass as a slip and slide. I don’t do that much. It’s nothing fun.
This Weekend
My weekend is going to be fun. Tonight I’m going to my friend Becca’s house and we’re going to watch movies, play with kittens, and eat food. Tomorrow we’re going to a Mattress Fundraiser for our school and we’re going to try and sell mattresses. On Sunday we’re going to go to Cornicopia, get pumpkins, carve them, ride hay rides, and a bunch of other stuff so It’s going to be pretty fun.
My Fall Break
Over fall break I dyed my hair. I dyed it lightish darkish brown. That was Friday after we got off school. It took a while for me to do it but it was worth my time I guess. After that I went and watched Unfriended with my sisters. The movie was kind of pointless being based off of a computer screen.
Saturday I stayed home and nothing but watch The Walking Dead from Season 1 Episode 1 to Season 6 Episode 1. I absolutely loved it. The Walking Dead is by far the most amazing TV show ever invented. I love that they recorded some of the episodes in Old Corydon near me. I liked that. I stayed up until at least 5:00 or 6:00 AM Sunday morning.
Sunday I woke up around 9:00 AM. I ate breakfast then went and watched more of The Walking Dead. I was a potato for a few days. I watched it all day without doing anything else. At 9:00 PM the new episode of Season 6 came on and I absolutely LOVED the episode. It was action packed and pretty awesome to watch.
Monday I went to Carrollton and Madison with my dad to stock up on our Electronic Cigarette Business in both cities. It took a while but it was pretty fun. I got Skittles when I was in Carrollton. I also got to get my Best Friend a T-Shirt and she loved it.
Tuesday I got picked up around 4:00 maybe 4:30 PM by my Best Friends Nanna. We went out and got pizza from Pizza Hut. The pizza was delicious. We also got milkshakes from Sonic and they were pretty boss. After we ate me and my friend just hung out and stayed online most of the time.
Wednesday we did the same thing except we had pizza rolls for dinner and we hung out doing nothing but sitting down on the couch all day.
Thursday was the same thing we just got Wendy’s for dinner and I tried Cherry Mellow Yellow and I thought it was pretty decent.
Friday she gave me a cute pair of combat boots that didn’t fit her and I love them. They’re comfortable. Then I went home and did nothing but sleep and eat.
Weekends
This weekend I went to a friends house. I also went to my mom’s building to help her get it started. She’s opening up a tanning salon called Charlestown Beach Tanning Salon and she’s invested a bunch of money into the store. I got to walk around in Charlestown and got to see my friends as well. I helped my mom paint, set up tanning beds, and helped her get lunch. That’s about all I did this weekend.
Weekends
I did absolutely nothing this weekend. Besides going to my friends house to see her mom and brothers. I did nothing besides sleep and eat. I got 4 new favorite songs. The songs are The Hills by The Weeknd, Lifestyle by Birman Ft. Young Thug & Rich Homie Quan, Money Baby by KCamp, and Hit The Quan by iHeart Memphis. I’ve started getting into this kind of music a lot lately. I don’t know why. It’s just pulled me in.
Weekends
I did a lot of things this weekend. It was pretty boring though. I stayed the night at my friend’s mom’s house with her. That was kind of fun. Her mom got attacked by a kitten and I laughed at her. We went out driving at like 3:00 AM Saturday morning blaring music around Jeffersonville. I actually liked driving around late at night with the cool air and no one else out. It was pretty fun.
